For all those gamers out there who are hoping forBloodborneto receive 60FPS and a PC port, I am afraid you will have to wait, as it has been leaked that there could be aBloodbornemovie in development instead.
Even though no one has asked for it, according to a rumoured leak onRedditby insider, DanielRPK, there is currently aBloodbornemovie in development. While this leak isn’t fully confirmed, despite a relatively credible source, it has already received a lot of negative responses from the game’s fan base.
What Information Has Been Leaked Regarding the Bloodborne Movie?
Although this information has been revealed on Reddit, it could change at any time, as there has been no official announcement to say that it is true. Currently, the only content that has been leaked is the synopsis of the film, the producer, the writer, and the studio.
So far, according to the rumoured leak from DanielRPK, theBloodbornemovie will follow the same story as the game, as it follows a hunter in their quest to explore Yharnam, whose inhabitants are currently infected by a blood-borne disease.
Just like in the game, the main character will explore Yharnam and uncover secrets, while they battle monsters and other-worldly creatures. Even though this does sound like a rather interesting film, fans of the franchise are worried a movie won’t do it justice and could potentially ruin the game.
Along with the synopsis, there has also been a rumour regarding the film’s producer and writer, which has a few fans concerned already. The producer is rumoured to be Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, who has worked on theTransformerandGI Joefilms and is also planned to be working onMadam Web.
What has most fans worried is the rumoured writer for theBloodbornemovie, which is Darren Lemke. Darren is mainly known for working on titles such asShrek Forever After,Shazam,Turbo, and theGoosebumpsmovies.
Will the Bloodborne Story Fit Within a Movie Project?
For fans of the franchise, many will be wondering whether or not the entirety of theBloodbornestory will fit within a movie. Even thoughBloodbornehas a rather clear narrative in comparison to other FromSoftware games, it is still a rather complicated tale that will be a challenge to fit within a single motion picture.
For obvious reasons, most of the story within theBloodbornegame will be ignored for the movie, as there are a lot of bosses and side quests that can be explored within the title, which sadly won’t be explored within the film.
This doesn’t mean there won’t be any nods to certain aspects of the game, as certain characters and locations could either be hinted towards or used as some kind of cameo for fans of the franchise, but sadly, they won’t have a major part within the film itself.
At the moment, there is no information regarding a cast, but many of the game fans are worried that the hunter could be played by someone who may not suit the role. For many, there is a hope that the Hunter may not actually be revealed within the movie and stay as a silent protagonist, but this is highly unlikely.
So far, we do not know how close to the original game story the film will be, but according to the synopsis, it seems that theBloodbornemovie will follow rather closely and hopefully will feature many of the creatures and characters that we know and love.
