In an interview with Men’s Health, theAvengers: Endgamestar debunked the myth that he works out to develop a bodybuilder’s physique. A common misconception is that he spends all his time in the gym.

“I think a lot of people think I’m just a meathead and that I live my life lifting weights. And I actually don’t. I do live my life training, but I think people think that I train because I want to look like a bodybuilder or a big musclehead. And it’s not at all the case.”

The actor said he finds weightlifting boring and prefers exciting cardio activities like boxing and cycling. Working with a trainer gives him a welcome dose of novelty and new challenges, allowing him to avoid routine and stay motivated.

In an interview with Nicki’s Random Musings, theAvengers: Infinity Waractor explained why he had his stunt double perform certain moves.

“Sometimes I don’t want to do my own stunts. There was a part where they set the character on fire. And I was like stuntman, please. I don’t want to be set on fire. You know, I did my 10 years in WWE. I’ve proved that I’m tough enough. I don’t have anything to prove.”

This astute stance exemplifies Bautista’s recognition that his time spent in professional wrestling has already proven his resiliency and toughness. He protects himself and his health by leaving risky stunts in the hands of trained professionals.
