David Fincher Professed His Love Working With Netflix

David Fincher also spoke highly of Netflix in his interview withLe MondeviaThe Playlist. The filmmaker believes the streaming platform is the future of cinema. The director also insinuated that evolution in the industry is going to happen, whether people like it or not. He said:

“Netflix has by far the best “quality control” in all of Hollywood. You know, we will not save cinema as a culture by restricting home distribution systems. For this to happen, the cinema would have to become a cutting-edge place. I loved certain theaters, but the technical conditions there were deplorable. We must move past all this nostalgia to finally ask ourselves the right question: who offers optimal representation today?”

Many of Fincher’s projects were left unmade due to his high budget demands. Still, he makes quality movies and shows that are made accessible to everyone by Netflix.
