Several big-budget, hyped, and highly expected games have launched in the recent past, such asStarfieldandBaldur’s Gate 3,and more are expected in the fall season, such asMarvel’s Spider-Man 2. All of these games have causedAlan Wake 2to fly under the radar a little in comparison to them.
Releasing only on current gen consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S) and PC, the game promises to be a visually stunning game that almost looks lifelike in the best way possible, if the gameplay videos so far are anything to go by.
What Are the System Requirements for Alan Wake 2?
While console players don’t have to worry about system requirements and the like, it is something that PC players constantly worry about. It can be quite heartbreaking to look forward to a game for a long time only to have it not run on your PC, which could potentially be a problem withAlan Wake 2.After all, the firstAlan Wakewas released on PC back in 2012 and was a port from the Xbox 360 version released in 2010, and it was remastered in 2021 for all major platforms.
However, for the sequel, it is more than possible that many gamers who grew up with the game might not be able to run it on their PC.

It’s worth pointing out that developer Remedy Games hasn’t officially released the system requirements for the PC version ofAlan Wake 2, but it is more than possible to predict and speculate as to what they can be. To start off with, the game is expected to run at a resolution of 1080p for both the minimum and recommended requirements.
The minimum requirement for the operating system (OS) is Windows 10 at 64-bit, with the processor being either an Intel Core i7-7700 HQ or AMD FX-9590. The memory is expected to be at least 8 to 10 GB of RAM to ensure smooth and fast gameplay, with the graphics card being an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX480. To round it off, the Direct X should run version Direct X 12, and the storage space on the hard drive or SSD should be at least 50 GB.
As for the recommended requirements, this also aims to hit 1080p, but at a higher frame rate of 60 frames per second as compared to 30 frames per second for the minimum requirements. The processor should be an Intel Core i9-9900K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, and the required amount of RAM comes to 16 GB.
The graphics card should be an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super or AMD Radeon RX6600 XT, and the Direct X and storage space remain the same at Versions 12 and 50 GB, respectively.
What Do We Know About Alan Wake 2?
Alan Wake 2is an action horror third-person shooter game that is the sequel toAlanWake. It features two protagonists: FBI agent Saga Anderson and the returning titular Alan Wake. Both of them are playable characters, with Saga Anderson tasked with investigating some serial ritualistic murders in the town of Bright Falls in the Pacific Northwest.
At the same time, Alan Wake is trapped in another dimension and writes a haunting story to escape and alter his reality to flee from something horrific.

The two storylines of Saga Anderson and Alan Wake are connected to each other mysteriously, and Wake’s story is somehow corrupting Bright Falls. The two must learn to harness light as their weapon, and players will get to experience their stories while solving the mystery that connects the two of them.
