Assassin’s Creed Syndicatewas the follow-up toUnityand the eighth entry in theAssassin’s CreedSeries. Perhaps the game’s most unique feature was the ability to play as either of the two siblings: Jacob and Evie Frye. The latter was one of the only two female protagonists in the series at the time. It was Evie who made a mark by sharing the screen with Jacob in a full-length Assassin’s Creed title.

Despite being released eight years ago, the game still looks fresh and doesn’t feel dated in the slightest. For fans of the series and/or the game, it is a good time as Ubisoft is currently offering the game for free, no strings attached, no caveat, on their PC platform, Ubisoft Connect. The offer lasts until December 6.
Ubisoft’s Early Christmas Present in the Form of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Giveaway
Coming to the giveaway, as revealed byUbisoft’s official website, the game can be claimed for free, as stated earlier, on Ubisoft Connect. The official statement reads:

As mentioned in the official statement there is quite some time left before the offer expires and the giveaway ends. Having mentioned that, ensure that you claim it as soon as possible to not miss out. Just visit Ubisoft’s site, login, and claim your gift.
Whether playing it for the first time or all over again, there isn’t ever a bad time for someAssassin’s Creedaction. Especially when the only title to ever feature not one but two playable characters is being offered.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicatecontinued the modern-day plot of the series from the point it was paused at the end of its predecessorAssassin’s Creed Unity. However, once the unnamed protagonist enters the Helix, the modern alternative of the classic Animus, the game truly picks up the pace. Taking place in one of the most lived-in open worlds of the series, the game was appreciated for its graphical fidelity at the time of release.
The entire setting was a love letter to Victorian London at the time of the conclusion of the Industrial Revolution. The game was a good change of gears for the series especially after the troubled launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity which was rife with glitches, bugs, and optimization issues.

Is Ubisoft’s Act of Generosity a Misdirection from Its Recent Marketing Faux Pas?
While all of this could have been a mere coincidence, since it is the holiday season, we think that one should just focus on the present that is being offered. With that, there is some benefit of doubt to be given to Ubisoft on the matter.
