Chad Stahelski Has More Ideas For FutureJohn WickSequels
In an interview withInverse, former stuntman and directorChad Stahelskirevealed that theJohn Wickmovies get more “ridiculous” as they go. For example, he mentioned how absurd it is to kill 80 men over a dog. But still, they were in it for the long haul. He went on to describe each installment:
“You can see how the first one starts fairly grounded. The second one’s a rock opera, and the third one’s a kung fu classic. The fourth one is this weird Western samurai film. They get more ridiculous as you go. They get more anime as you go.”

In fact, Stahelski keeps a list of more outlandish plot ideas for future sequels, though he claims that he does not intend to milk the franchise just for money. He further added:

“I have notebooks and notebooks of sh*t behind me, John Wicks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. We have ideas for days. We just don’t have the story locked. I have no interest in doing the cash grab of bringing John Wick back for something.”
According to the filmmaker,Keanu Reeveswould do another one if they had a good script. They leave the story open-ended so they can always go back to it once they have figured out a way to bring the character back into the fold.

John WickDirector Reveals The Secret Of Action Movies
One notable thing about Chad Stahelski’sJohn Wickis the collaboration of various action stars, such asDonnie Yen,Scott Adkins, andMarko Zaror, who are professionally skilled in martial arts. The director shared in the same interview withInversewhat made him cast these actors:
“I would argue that it’s the story you tell before the action that makes the difference… You have to build these guys up, and you’re able to’t just do that with something. So, I know when I’m writing a sequence, I know that’s the magic rule. I have to find people that build that up. So, my goal is always to sprinkle in these great performance guys.”
It was a great thing that the studio is very open and enthusiastic about Stahelski’s ideas for anythingJohn Wick-related, even if they are notJohn Wick-centric. As the director is also busy with other projects outside the Wickverse, it may take a while before he finally comes up with a concrete plan for the Baba Yaga.
