The first season did not get the response Disney would have counted on it to have received. Critics said that the roles of Shand and the Mandalorian were written well and executed to perfection, but popular opinion says that the writing and characterisation of Fett were underhanded by the production, to say the least.

The Book of Boba Fett (S1)received a 52% rating from Rotten Tomatoes, 7.3/10 from IMDb, and 6/10 from GameSpot.

Disney rumoured to have started work on S2

In spite of the mixed bag of responses received byThe Book of Boba Fett S1, Disney is rumoured to have started work on a second season already. The Book of Boba Fett S1displayed how well Morrison played the role of Fett, but that the writers had decided to keep him off-screen more often than not. In fact, Boba Fett was undermined heavily in as many as two entire episodes, where the focus shifted to Din Djarin, Luke Skywalker and Grogu. Fennec was also underused in the pilot finale, and her role might be expanded upon in the second season. There is a good chance that the second season focuses on Star Wars’ Underworld, which was ruled by the Council of Hutts. The future is ripe with opportunity, and how Disney plans on veering theStar Warsship through a fantasy industry dominated by the MCU and DCU remains interesting to watch.
