Stone acknowledged that the infamous scene from the movie, which became a subject of public fascination, distorted perceptions of her and ultimately played a role in her losing custody of her son in 2004.“Do you know your mother makes s-x movies?”Stone recalled the judge asking her son.

In 2000, Stone and her then-husband Ron Bronstein adopted their son, Roan. However, following their divorce in 2004, custody of Roan was awarded to Bronstein by the judge overseeing the case. Sharon Stone Didn’t Appreciate How She Was Treated For Her Roles
Reflecting on the present-day prevalence of explicit content on television, Sharon Stone highlighted the stark contrast between the acceptance of s-x and nud–y in current media and the brutal treatment she endured following the success of the hit movie.
“You saw maybe like a 16th of a second of possible nud–y of me,”Stone said. “And I lost custody of my child.”
In recounting her experience, Sharon Stone disclosed that she faced judgment from others in the entertainment industry due to her portrayal of Catherine Tramell, a seductive novelist, in the erotic thriller film.
