Mortal Kombat 1’s Success Can Welcome Additional Content
Even before its launch, NetherRealm Studios has been vocal about the game’s future with players already aware ofKombat Pack 1, a DLC announced for the game, expected to launch Spring of next year. This DLC contains some popular characters from different franchises like Omni-Man, Homelander, and Peacemaker and the rest of the character roster will also include familiar faces like Takashi Takeda, Ermac and Quan Chi from theMortal Kombatfranchise.

The game’s successful launch serves as the foundation for a bright future for the franchise. For one, existingMortal Kombatfans get to experience familiar stories and character arcs in new ways. In the present time, the plethora of issues that currently exist on Switch’s version ofMortal Kombat 1has led to the devs focusing their attention on fixing problems. In an interview at the San Diego Comic-Con, Boon mentioned howMortal Kombat 1will given the same kind of love and attention as previous games, as the studio is focusing on a strong gameplay experience. For instance, the to-and-fro between characters like Peacemaker and Omni-Man would be one heck of a thing to hear.
