However, this was not the only problem he had to face as a mangaka. Oda once fired one of his assistants and in return received 100 death threats from a Woman.

Eiichiro Oda Received Death Threats
Between September and December of 2007, Oda got over one hundred threats from a lady named Tomoko Fukushige. The woman’s husband was a dismissed Oda’s office assistant; the wife was arrested in 2009. According to the authorities, Fukushige’s spouse was fired from his work as Oda’s assistant. In revenge, she sent about 100 messages to Oda’s phone that included phrases like “Die, Die.” According to reports, the texts were sent between September and December of 2007. Oda reported the incidents to the local authorities, who then investigated and arrested him.
The life of a manga artist even as big as Oda is not easy. They have to face problems not only work-wise but also in their personal life. However, this is the story of every industry that brings fame and popularity.
