One Piece, a widely loved manga since 1997, has drawn fans with its amazing world, story, and characters. The characters are memorable not just for their power, but also for their distinct personalities. Some can even destroy entire islands on their own.

One Piece has entered it’s final arc

Despite the strength of many characters, mainly the villain, there is one villain who is considered one of the most powerful characters yet still gets beaten by some not-so-powerful characters inOne Piece. Perhaps the creator, Eiichiro Oda, might not have fully unleashed the potential of a specific villain in the series.

Big Mom - One Piece

Big Mom is One of the Most Powerful Character inOne PieceStill Defeated by Not-So-Powerful Characters

One of the Yonko and the most powerful female character inOne Piece, Big Mom got defeated by two members of the Worst Generations, Trafalgar D. Water Law and Eustace Kid. She’s a top villain in the series and one of the four emperors of the sea.

Big Mom uses the Soru Soru no Mi, a devil fruit that lets her take people’s souls and put them into objects. She also has a Thundercloud named Zeus, a small sun named Prometheus, and a hat that turns into a sword named Napoleon.

Even with her memory gone, she easily defeated Queen and effortlessly blocked an attack from Luffy’s gear 4th form. She clashed with Kaidou, splitting the sky. In her younger days, she was a member of Rocks. Her bounty is 4,388,000,000 berries in the series.

However, Big Mom relies too much on her devil fruit powers and doesn’t use her Haki potential to its fullest, missing out on opportunities to win fights.

Even Though Big Mom is Really Good at Using Haki Still Depends on Her Devil Fruit Powers

Big Mom, the former Emperor of the Sea, relies too much on her Devil Fruit powers. It’s not really her fault, the creator, Eiichiro Oda, is to blame.

Despite having excellent control over Haki, especially Conqueror’s Haki and powerful Armament Haki, when she fought Kid and Law, Oda made her focus only on her Devil Fruit abilities. This made her seem like she couldn’t use Conqueror’s Haki at all.

Not Just Luffy, Even Kuma is the Living Embodiment of Nika in One Piece

In reality, Big Mom could have easily used her impressive Haki skills to defeat Kid and Law. However, Oda chose not to show this side of her in that particular fight. So, what fans saw was a version of Big Mom overly dependent on her Devil Fruit powers when she could have incorporated Haki for a more balanced and powerful approach.

In summary, the problem lies more with how Oda portrayed Big Mom in that specific battle rather than Big Mom’s actual abilities. She has strong Haki skills that could have been utilized, but the focus was placed on her Devil Fruit powers, making her appear less versatile than she truly is.
