Yes, Brie Larson’s sequel toCaptain Marvel,The Marvelswas already suspected by many Marvel fans to bomb at the box offices worldwide. However, no one thought of its performance to be this bad: it has been 10 days since its release, and the film still hasn’t been able to recover even its production budget of $220 million.

Because of that, the movie has been receiving a lot of trolling and backlash, especially from DC’sThe Flashfans, considering how many from the Marvel fandom made a lot of fun of the Ezra Miller starrer when it bombed at the box offices. And this time, MCU fans have no answer whatsoever.

Back when the box-office disasterThe Flashwas released earlier this year, there were a lot of Marvel fans booing the film and the lead, Ezra Miller. However, soon after came MCU’sThe Marvels, and now, it’s DC fans’ turn to laugh at Brie Larson’s recent box-office bomb and at the Marvel fandom.

Taking toX, @BlackMajikMan90 posted a tweet that read:
“All those people who made it their identity to laugh at the box office of The Flash are very quiet right now….”

But what’s worse than the DC fans’ bullying is how the Marvel fans are quiet, almost like they have nothing to say on the issue.

The FlashandThe Marvels’: Which One Is A Bigger Box Office Bomb?
WhileThe FlashandThe Marvelsboth proved to be box-office bombs, the difference between their box-office grossing broken down is worth noting and comparing.
Ezra Miller’sThe Flashwas made on a production budget of $200 million and saw its opening weekend bring in approximately 27.5% of it, i.e. a little over$55 million.Furthermore, its total gross at the global box offices throughout its run was $266.5 million, i.e. 1.3 times the production budget.
The total domestic and international box office share ofThe Flashwas a little over $108 million being the domestic box office earnings and the remaining $158.3 million being the revenue from the international theatres.
Then cameBrie Larson’sThe Marvels, which has spent only ten days in the theatres so far and has grossed only $161.3 million as of this writing, which is 0.6 times the production budget of $274.8 million.
Not only this, but the film’s opening weekend was a slumping $46.1 million, which is approximately 70.9% of the total gross till now, while the domestic box office and international box office revenues stand at $65 million and $96.3 million respectively.
So far,The Marvels’ performance at the box office seems worse thanThe Flash. However, it seems to be too soon to choose a definite answer of which one was a bigger bomb at the box office.
