Some unfortunate news has come around in regards toFortnitefor UK gamers as the cost of the virtual Currency V-Bucks has raised its prices since 2021; this has been caused due inflation in the UK as The Bank Of England raised its interests rates by 0.5% back in June.

What difference has this made to the virtual currency cost of Fortnite?
At the moment, the increase in the cost of V-Bucks isn’t a large amount, but the effects have been noticed by the gaming community. At the moment, the current prices aren’t a big difference from what they were, but for gamers who want to purchase the season pass, they will require 1000 V-Bucks which doesn’t sound like a lot, but this amount used to cost £6.49, but due to inflation the price has been raised to £6.99. That may only be 50p but as the amount of V-bucks rises so does the cost.
Most gamers won’t be looking to purchase the large bundles of V-Bucks fromFortnite, but for those who are, they have also been increased by a fair amount; this increase is by quite a large amount and will most likely affect the future purchases of most gamers as they will be unhappy spending that amount of money.

At the moment, some of the larger bundles, like the 2800 V-Bucks bundle, have been raised as it used to be £15.99 but has now been raised to £17.49, which is a pretty large jump in price. However, this isn’t the largest jump in price as the 13,500 V-Bucks bundle which used to cost £63.99 has been raised to a whopping £69.99 that is essentially the same price as a brand new AAA title game.

Will this change affect the sales of V-Bucks?
For now, there isn’t much information in regards to how much this will affect the sales of V-Bucks, but at the moment, many gamers do not seem happy with this price increase and understandably so. At this point, there will be no more increases in price, but that doesn’t mean it will always stay that way as inflation can increase at any time, especially with living costs going up constantly.
So far there aren’t going to be any changes to these prices as it looks like they are here to stay, but what do you think about these price changes? Will it stop you from purchasing V-Bucks and losing out on those sweet cosmetics, or will you just battle through? Let us know in the comments what you think about these price changes!
