GTA 6 dropped its trailer and the long-anticipated video game has the internet in splits. Several parts of the trailer are references to viral TikToks and news footage from some of the most hilarious moments in the real world.

It has become an internet meme that crazy news is always coming out of Florida, such that ‘Florida Man’ has become somewhat of a cultural icon of the Florida Man referred to in news headlines (usually referring to the object of the news), which has now become one nebulous daredevil of a character in the public zeitgeist. All the news and footage about this phenomenon has been reflected in the trailer of GTA VI, making fans buckle over with laughter.

The GTA VI trailer is filled with Florida’s greatest hits

While a great number of new stories out of Florida have a lot of people questioning their authenticity, the GTA trailer decided to include in it the greatest and most notorious stories out of the American state. Whether it be alligators in the hear to civilization or people riding the hoods of cars, the trailer features more than a few homages to these real-world events, leading fans to believe that this might be the wildest entry in the franchise, bar none.

GTA has a long-standing history of presenting an exaggerated version of American culture, but whether it be elderly men doing yard work naked, or a woman twerking on the hood of a moving car, all the visuals in this trailer have been taken from real-life footage and news reports that have come out of Florida, leaving fans wondering what other easter eggs will they see in the upcoming project.

Fans have taken to the internet to talk about the various Florida references in the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, saying that the city and the game might be analogous to a peanut butter and jelly combination, in that they are both enjoyable on their own, but bring a lot to the plate together.

The newest trailer has been released after years of anticipation, and fans do not seem disappointed. Currently, the trailer stands at a whopping 100 million views on Rockstar Games’s main YouTube channel. The game is scheduled to be launched in 2025, according to an announcement that was part of the trailer.

GTA VI might be taking graphics to the next level

While fans have been laughing their guts out at the various references about Florida that have been snuck into the trailer, a significant amount of people have also been wowed by the visual feast that has been offered by Rockstar Games in said presentation of the game. Several wide shots have been deemed indistinguishable from the real photographs, showcasing the level of production the game went through, and justifying the amount of time it took to develop the game.

Further, the character models in the game have also received rave reviews for being nigh photorealistic. Fans in general are now more excited for the game than ever. Given that the game is scheduled for release in 2025, a year’s worth of promotional content is on its way to keep fans of the franchise well-fed until the game arrives.
