The actor did not always have the glitter of the showbiz industry and his background resembled a rather typical teenager who always advocates fun over anything at any cost. Wahlberg, in fact, had a group of partners in crime.

Mark Wahlberg Stole A Car 15 Times

It’s one thing to take his mother’s car for a ride when she was sleeping but stealing a car from another guy 15 times, is downright insane. Recalling his past, theTedandShooteractor revealed that he and his friends used to drive around Massachusetts in the same Monte Carlo he stole 15 times, as he described, it was too easy to steal from the owner.“We’d pop the tilt steering and he (owner) never got it fixed,”Mark WahlbergtoldContact Music.

“We’re hanging around, we’re hooking school… and we’d go take the car, we’d drive around and we’d hide it by my house for a couple of days and they’d find it, he’d get it back, we’d go an take it again. There was no radio or anything… but it was a good means of transportation and most of the time, when he found it, there was more gas (in the tank) than when we took it. One time he actually came out in the morning… and the poor guy tries to block the driveway and I’m not gonna stop and I’m not gonna get out because the guy’s upset and obviously this has been going on for a while.”

Certainly, it was among other terrible incidents that the actor was involved in.“A woman asked me,‘Would you like to pay all the people back for all the stuff that you stole, all the damage that you caused?’”Wahlberg added,“‘If I did, I’d be broke, my kids wouldn’t go to college.’”His statement clearly indicates other unlawful activities of the 52-year-old in the past. Also read:“I lost four friends of my age last year alone”: Mark Wahlberg, Who Has a Troubled Past, Was Afraid For His Life From Early Days in the Industry

Mark Wahlberg Is Remorseful But Had a Terrible Past

The beyond-the-law attitude of Wahlberg in his teenage had to be forged as his surroundings demanded. In a way, it was a situational hazard, yet, there is no excuse for what he has done to so many peace-loving innocent people and the actor is remorseful now. Wahlberg toldThe Guardianthat being the youngest of nine children and growing up in Boston at the time was not a piece of cake. The actor was constantly bullied“and when I walked out my door – violence is also all that was there.”

“I was always in trouble, and I was kind of little. In the circumstances where I was being preyed upon, at times, I had to protect and defend myself. It’s not an easy thing to navigate as a teenage kid who’s 5ft 2in, 120lb, with grown men,”the actor told the outlet.

The crime of young Wahlberg extended beyond the car stealing incident, as per earlier reports, the actor even served a brief sentence after assaulting a Vietnamese shopkeeper with racial slurs used against him while being high on the drug PCP. Certainly, those days are over now, the actor has since followed a path to do the right thing and successfully altered the terrible past to the life of glamour he is living now.
