Margot Robbie has very quickly become one of the most iconic actresses of the current time. Even though she was an incredibly successful and respected actress long before her work inBarbie, the 2023 film painted the actress in a completely new light, making her one of the most significant individuals in popular culture and mainstream media. She has starred in many critically acclaimed films, includingThe Wolf of Wall Street,Babylon,I, Tonya, andBombshell.

Having worked in films of such high regard, it is only natural that they have resulted in the actress being invited to big awards shows, including The Oscars. Many actors have many stories of things that happened during these award ceremonies, and only a few are as odd as that of Robbie’s interaction with filmmaker, Clint Eastwood, at the 2015 Oscars.

Margot Robbie Got Champagne At The Oscars
Margot Robbiewas in attendance at the Oscars in 2015. It is quite common for celebrities to step away from the awards show for a second to present awards or give interviews for projects that they have worked on or are working on. The actress happened to be doing both, having just presented an award alongside Miles Teller, best known for his work inTop Gun: Maverick.
“I went backstage because I had to present [on stage] and afterwards I did an interview… they gave me this bottle of champagne,”Robbie once said according toDaily Mail.

Afterward, the actress gave an interview, for which she was given a bottle of champagne, which she took back to her seat and went on to watch the show. Unfortunately, however, the actress ended up opening the bottle at the wrong time, angering the legendary filmmaker, Clint Eastwood.

Margot Robbie Angered Clint Eastwood With Her Champagne
Clint Eastwood is one of the most well-respected individuals in Hollywood, having made a name for himself through a number of highly successful projects likeThe Good, the Bad and the UglyandMillion Dollar Baby. The actor has been attending the Oscars for quite a few years now, so one would expect that he is used to seeing pretty much everything happening at the event, on and off stage. This, however, might not be the case as during an ad-break, Margot Robbie decided to open her bottle of champagne.
“I was back in my seat and we were in an ad break, so I opened it. It popped really loudly. Clint Eastwood was sitting right in front of me and he turned around and glared at me.”Robbie went on to tellDaily Mail,“I kind of ducked my head,”

What she did not factor in was the fact that the opening of a bottle of champagne is extremely loud so, naturally, the bottle made a very audible sound. Eastwood, who was sitting in front of the actress, ended up turning around and giving her a look that the actress saw as a look of irritation and anger. After this, Robbie ended up trying to avoid the actor and director as much as she could, even ducking if she saw him.
