Superheros make up the majority of mainstream media and popular culture. Though there are a lot of different takes on the genre. TV series likeThe BoysandInvinciblehave a darker tone and have been very successful in doing so. However, there are only two production companies that basically rule the entirety of the superhero genre.

Marvel

The Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Universe are the sole cause for making superheroes popular. They have put out movie after movie with beautiful stories and even more interesting characters. Their movies are a spectacle, to say the least. One of the biggest topics of discussion, which is seen in many different ways, is which is better, Marvel or DC? Be it questions about who is the best superhero or who is the strongest character. This never-ending debate seems to have taken another form on Twitter recently.

Does DC Have Better Villians Than Marvel?

Fans recently took to Twitter and started to debate about which production company does villains best. Those who were in favor of the DC talked about how regardless of DC taking quite a bit of heat due to the quality of their movies but one undeniable fact is that they create iconic, memorable, and downright terrifying villains.

“DC boasts some of the most iconic supervillains in comic book history, such as the Joker, Lex Luthor, and Darkseid. These characters have become symbols of villainy in popular culture. Marvel has great villains too, like Thanos and Loki, but DC’s villains are iconic.”A fan stated on twitter

Be it the Joker’s unpredictability, Darksied for his ruthlessness, or the Riddler upping the stakes with each of his schemes, DC certainly knows how to create characters who stand as the definition of what a villain is. They believe another reason for this is that they are irredeemable and cold-hearted.

Does Marvel Have Better Villains Than DC?

Many were quite to side with the villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They went on to say that there isn’t even a comparison between Marvel and DC villains. They believe that DC villains are pretty two-dimensional and quite cliche. They believe that Marvel gives their antagonists a depth that makes you truly understand the motives and moral justifications that allow them to do the terrible thing that they do.

but marvel is still better

Thanos,Loki, Galactus,Dr.Doom, Magneto, Dark Phoenix?

Marvel comicbooks has unique Relatable Superheroes and cool interesting iconic Supervillains that DC comics does NOT have.

Loki was solely motivated to do what he did to outdo and aggravate his brother. Thanos, whose motivations for his plan were routed in concern for every civilization. Barron Zemo, who was motivated by revenge for the murder of his entire family. One fact that is undeniable is that the MCU flushes out its characters far more than the DCU.
