The Kajii Monzeki Temple is situated on Wakasa’s southern border with Omi in the Onyu Pass sub-region. There are no major settlements nearby, so it can be tricky to reach. If you are in Wakasa, you’re able to follow the river south from the Abandoned Gardens for a straightforward route.
If you start from Yamashiro, the closest fast-travel location to the Kajii Monzeki Temple is the Hiei Foothill viewpoint. From there, follow the road northwest, and it will lead directly to the temple. Alternatively, you can fast-travel to Hanazono Tower or Kyoto and travel northeast from there. Once you are at the temple, use the Observe skill to pinpoint the Kuji-kiri spot in a clearing beside the temple building.
How to Complete Kajii Monzeki Temple Kuji-kiri
When Naoe settles into meditation at the designated spot, she will perform the Kuji-kiri ritual using a sequence of hand gestures. The screen will display four directional circles — top, bottom, left, and right — each containing a button prompt at its center. Your goal is to press the corresponding button as soon as the assigned circle lights up, following the rhythm set by a white ring closing around it.
