Bessho Harumasa (or The Ox) is one of the manyShinbakufutargets in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Players are tasked with putting down these “Templars” who are power-hungry to rule the land of feudal Japan. One such enemy that we have to cross paths with isThe Ox. Players can kill him as part of theBroken Hornquest and earn rewards for doing so. However., finding a target is not always easy.
The Ox plans on building a legion of rebels in theMiki Castle. This is where his paths cross with our two protagonists. Killing Bessho requires Naoe to sneak into the castle while hiding in a shipment. She then helps others infiltrate the castle as well. One of the protagonists then confronts The Ox in a battle that ends in the latter’s defeat. The players receive theDaybreak’s Fury Legendary Kanaboas a reward upon succeeding.
Where To Find The Ox in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
Players will face The Ox in the Chapter:The Hunt Continues. It is one of the manyChapters in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It all starts when you return to Nakamura Tadashige and start a conversation. You can then choose who to play as. Depending on your choice, the infiltration process will be different.
There is not much creativity involved since you may’t climb rooftops and parkour like Naoe as Yasuke. Simply battle your way through Miki Castle until you find a dying soldier to talk to. You won’t be able to do it until you clear the space around yourself littered with enemies. Now, The Ox will have you facing the Tsuno. Players can either keep playing as Yasuke to experience this fight or switch over toNaoeto let Yasuke deal with it on his own.
We switched over toNaoefor this playthrough. She is tasked with killing a few more guards in the area. you may easily do so without getting detected and then a conversation with an NPC will lead you right to Yasuke.
How To Defeat The Ox in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
Now, players will have another option to choose between the two protagonists. Choosing Yasuke will be easier because eventually you will have to duel against Bessho Harumasa anyway, and Naoe isn’t strong enough to excel in open combat against him.
While making your way through the castle, you will need to take out a few more guards and when you finally reach The Ox, he will have two more guards, supporting him. We suggest that you execute them as quickly as possible before turning your attention towards the main boss here. Otherwise, they can swarm the player.
Since The Ox uses aKanabo, he uses slow but heavy combos that can’t be blocked or parried. Simply dodge out of his way whenever he begins an attack and strike when he is vulnerable.
