How to Listen to Audible on PC (3 Unique Ways)

Listening to audiobooks is very efficient and I can be doing some work and listening to an audiobook at the same time. Audible works on mobile and requires an Amazon Prime account. There are times when I don’t have my Phone in proximity but wish to listen to a title. There are a number of ways through which you can reduce the dependency on your Phone. Recently, I wrote an article onhow to listen to Audible on Mac,I realized we need to do the same write for PC.Let’s Begin.

How to Listen to Audible on PC

1. Listen online

Audible has a cloud Player which lets you stream your titles online. Now It does work but the features are not the same as the app. I’ve experienced so many errors during the playbacks. Sometimes the player won’t load or it would start from the beginning. This should be an option only when you have no other choices.

To get started, log in with your Amazon Account on PC, select a title from theLibrary. The player would load up in a new pop up tab, verify it isn’t blocked.

3. Using Android Emulator

If you don’t have Windows 10/8 on PC, there are still better workarounds. For Example, we can emulate the Android App with an emulator. There are so many free emulators available for your PC which you can use for running Audible. I’m going to use Nox emulator, it’s free and gets the job done.

Go toNox official websiteand click on the download button. The file is for 384 MB so shouldn’t take much time to download.Once Finished, install the setup

you may either install apps fromGoogle Play Storelike you do on your Android smartphone or you candownload the apk filefrom theweb browserinside Nox and then install it. I prefer the second way, as it’s more convenient.

On the home screen of Nox Player, you should see aBrowser, click on it and go to Google and search forAudible android apk. In the search results, you should see a link from Apk mirror, click on that. Alternatively, you can use can copy paste thislink.

You have successfully installed the Audible smartphone app on your Mac. Since it’s optimized for a phone screen, it will switch to a vertical view. Log in to your Amazon account and you should all your purchased audiobooks under library section because the UI is intuitive and you get all the options like playback speed control, sleep timer, switch to chapters easily.

Log in with your Amazon account and you’re done. You can also listen toAudible channels

There is another workaround if you wish to listen to your audiobooks on your MP3 player or old iPod. You would have to extract the files by pasting the following command in the Run Dialog Box.

C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Packages\AudibleInc.AudibleforWindowsPhone_xns73kv1ymhp2\LocalState\Content

The only problem is you would have to find a way to convert the aax files to mp3 first.OpenAudibleis an opensource software which does just that. This is usually helpful when you have an older iPad with no Audible app. The setup is easy, once installed simply import the aax file and conversion process with a start when you click on the Audiobook.
