I am greatly influenced by “One-Pan Man,” and I feel that it is a story about a hero’s journey.

During the interview, Yusuke Murata also shared his certain insights aboutCreedby saying:
I saw “Creed: The Past Strikes Back” last night and it was fantastic. I’m not exaggerating, it was one of those movies that I will remember for the rest of my life.
Murata also pointed out the commonalities between the two protagonists adding that:
I believe that “Creed” and “One-Punch Man” share a common “condition of a hero”. What I mean by that is that those who fight with the protagonist, regardless of whether they are friend or foe, will have their lives turned upside down. In the case of Saitama, that is, if the opponent didn’t die in a one-punch fight.
Both Jordan and Murata acknowledged the deep emotional aspects present in their respective works.
They agreed that battles serve as catalysts for characters’ self-development, enabling them to address inner struggles and triumph over challenges.
Murata also shared that “Erik Killmonger” is his favorite character from “Black Panther,” played by Michael B. Jordan.
