Talking more about his acting side, he mentioned that he is pleased to do what he likes. But, to think that he would have to accept the personality of an actor is something he’s not a fan of.
“I want to just caveat this by saying, I’m so privileged. I’m so happy to be doing what I love. I’m really lucky. But I don’t enjoy the personality side of being an actor. I don’t understand why I should be entertaining and scintillating on a talkshow. I don’t know why all of a sudden that’s expected of me. Why?”
While his thoughts are right in his own way, he also discussed the other side sharing that the film ecosystem has been evolved this way only.
“I get it’s a kind of ecosystem where the film feeds the publicity which feeds the talkshows which goes back and feeds the film, so, like, that’s how it works. I suppose I’m just not good at it. At interviews, at this stuff.”
Appearing in talk shows would escalate the chances of a project being in a good light, which is something he understands yet can’t get used to it. He has given a remarkable performance in the new film which has brought new hope among fans to get him to the Oscars. Given the response the film is getting, it is a most likely possibility that the film could get multiple nominations.
