Robert Pattinson is an exceptionally talented actor. He has played many memorable characters; from Edward Cullen inTwilightto Cedric Diggory in theHarry Potterfranchise and most recently, he has taken up the role of Bruce Wayne himself. Pattinson’s Batman did extremely well at the box office and garnered a massive fanbase.

Playing a character like Batman is no easy take. The role requires extensive physical training and the suit that comes with portraying the masked vigilante can be very difficult to act in. There have been many actors who previously played the character, Micheal Keaton, and Ben Affleck to name a few. After Pattinson took up this role, what advice did another Batman veteran, Christian Bale have for him?

Christian Bale Advised Robert Pattinson to Get His Batman Suit Modified
During an appearance onJimmy Kimmel Live!,Robert Pattinsonwas asked if he reached out to any of the previous Batman actors for advice about taking up the role. Pattinson explained that though he was quite nervous asking them about anything coincidentally, he ended up running intoChristian Bale, who portrayed Bruce Wayne in Christopher Nolan’s version of theDark Knighttrilogy.
“I was a bit scared to ask them anything but I bumped into Christian Bale,”Robert Pattinson said.“[I was] next to him in a urinal and I guess it kind of inspired him to say, ‘The first thing you need to do in the bat suit is figure out a way to pee.'”He added, “So when I went to the costume department I was like, ‘First things first. I need a patch. I need a flap on the back.’ Easy access… I pee sitting down.”

Bale, ended up giving theHarry Potter and the Goblet of Fireactor suggestions about modifications he could make to the suit while the two were in the restroom. He told Pattinson that the first thing he should do is find a better way to use the bathroom when he is in the bat suit during filming. Pattinson ended up approaching the costume department and made them figure out a solution for this problem.

Tom Holland Also Finds Difficulty Using The Washroom When He Is In His Costume
Superhero suits are very intricate, delicate, and expensive. They have the months to be made and are very well thought out. Despite this, many actors who play superheroes have discussed the chore that is using the restroom within their superhero suits.Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man, has also talked about this.
“It looks amazing, [but it] feels terrible… going to the bathroom is a mission. You have to plan 45 minutes in advance,”he said.

TheSpider-Man: No Way Homestar mentioned that even though the suit looks very cool, being in it is quite a nightmare. He stated that the process of him using the restroom is quite a long one. The entire process is quite long, and tedious, and requires planning of almost an hour, which can be quite a hassle. Maybe Holland needs to get in touch with the Batman actors as well.
