Mark Hamill Was Impressed By TheStar WarsPrequels
Over the past 20 years, the widespread disdain among fans for theStar Warsprequels has become a legend of its own. There are many things that fans disliked in the prequels, including the plot’s focus on galactic politics rather than smugglers and Jedi, CGI characters with poor dialogue and obnoxious accents, and senseless pronouncements about the coarseness of sand.
In an interview,Mark Hamilldiscussed the films and how the prequels were received between 1999 and 2005.

“I was impressed the prequels had their own identity. They were criticized because they were exposition-heavy and more cerebral and probably like he said back in 1976, they weren’t as commercial. It’s a darker story. But in the age of social media, people’s voices are amplified, and I’m shocked at how brutal they can be, not just in the case of Star Wars films, but across the board.”
Hamill claimed that the critics, including the makers of the documentaryThe People vs. George Lucas, have sought to lure him into saying unfavorable things about them despite his steadfast support for prequels.

“I almost got hornswoggled into that documentary. They were not calling it People vs George Lucas at the time. But I could tell from the questions they were asking me that it was an open invitation to trash George and I have issues with George, but I love that man.” he said.
