The new year has only started and the war between best friends Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds has rekindled. The reason is that Ryan Reynolds was put on the list for the 2023 Oscars best song shortlist “Good Afternoon“, which Hugh Jackman has a problem with. It is a song from the movie“Spirited”by Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell.

Hugh Jackman’s Take on Ryan Reynolds’s“Good Afternoon”

In his recent post on Instagram,Hugh Jackmanpoints out his problem with Reynolds being nominated for the Oscars for the movie“Spirited”.He added saying,

“I really, really wanted to send out a positive message at the beginning of the year, but recent events have made that impossible.[…]. Don’t get me wrong, I loved ‘Spirited’. It’s a great movie … I love Will, I love Octavia [Spencer] … the song ‘Good Afternoon’, I laughed the entire way through, it is absolutely brilliant. However, I just heard the Academy have short-listed ‘Good Afternoon’ [for the 2023 Oscars].”
