Fans who have seen the interview know that Todd Howard experienced a new thing in his life. Since then, the gaming community has eagerly wanted to know what surprised Todd Howard.
Todd Howard Met The First Person To FinishStarfield
Todd Howard had an interview with The Washington Post on 04 August 2025.Gene Parkinterviewed him. But instead of answering the questions, Todd Howard was busy asking questions to the host. He was amazed to meet the first person who had finished the video game (Gene Park had finished playingStarfield).Todd Howardsaid,” I haven’t talked to anybody who’s finished it, so I’m fascinated by your (Gene Park) experience.”

Starfield‘s director was busy with the game, so his only interaction was with the people at his workplace. During this interview, he talked to someone outside, and fortunately, they had finished the game, unlike his workplace colleagues. According to him, it was a long time in the making. The game was trademarked in 2013. Microsoft and Bethesda Game Studios carefully developed the game to make it perfect.
Since 2013, every game forum had whisperings regarding this Space Odyssey. Now that it is here, it feels like a dream come true. Moreover, it is the first game that Bethesda solely holds the copyright to, and it is a Microsoft Xbox exclusive. These things felt like a burden toStarfield, but the game seemed to flow with success.

The Xbox Game Pass is currently at 25 million active users. WithStarfield,Microsoft will be looking to increase that number. Microsoft bought ZeniMax Media, Bethesda’s parent company, in 2021 for a whopping $7.5 Billion. It was bought to strengthen the Xbox Game Pass service. Todd Howard and Xbox Head Phil Spencer had the idea to increase the number of exclusives on the subscription.
According to them, Bethesda has previously worked with Microsoft, so it will only boost their partnership. Spencer said,” It’s been a while since we launched anything of this scale that’s single player. It’s kind of a pin for us in our strategy that we can do big multiplayer games and single-player games. Our business models in Xbox and the places where we ship allow us to find millions of players.”
