What many might not know about the actor, however, is the fact that he, at a point, had a football career. This started after was extremely rude to one of his teachers, which led to the teacher believing in him and giving him a chance to change his life.

Dwayne Johnson Was Rude To His Teacher

Dwayne Johnsontalked about how his football career during an interview, viaHaut-Hisse. Here, he confesses that it all started when he was in high school and did not feel like using the boys’ washroom due to the fact that it smelled like smoke. The actor, instead decided to go into the washroom in the teacher’s lounge. When in there, a teacher walked in and told him that he should not be there and this was not somewhere a student is supposed to be.

“I wanted to use the bathroom but I didn’t want to use a regular boys’ bathroom because the boys’ bathroom smells like smoke and all the other fun stuff. So I go into the teachers’ lounge and a teacher comes in. His name is Jody Swick. He says, ‘Hey, you can’t be in here’ I kind of pause ‘ I’ll leave when I’m done.’ and I continued to wash my hands. And I kind of just looked at him, I walked by, he looked at me, didn’t say a word, but he was fuming.”

Rather than listening to the teacher and walking away, like many students would have done, Johnson shows a completely different approach. The actor revealed that instead, he told the teacher that he would leave when he was done, and went on to continue, washing his hands. He then walked away, finding it odd that instead of saying anything to him or scolding him, the teacher stared at him with anger in his eyes, not saying a single word.

Dwayne Johnson Lived To Regret This

After this happened, Dwayne Johnson thought about this quite a lot, feeling extremely guilty for how rude he was in this interaction. The next day, he walked up to the teacher and apologized for his actions and meant it. He then reached out his hand, asking the teacher to shake it.

“I went home that night, and I felt bad. I just felt bad. The very next day I found him I said, ‘ I just want to apologize for how I acted yesterday and I’m sorry.’ And I stuck my hand out and he looked at my hand, he shook my hand. I never forget that shake. He wouldn’t let go. He said, ‘ I want you to do something for me. I want you to come out and play football for me.’ he looked past that b.s. and said, ‘I believe in you and I want to turn you around.’”

The teacher located it for a second and then shook it. Johnson confessed that this was a handshake that he would never forget in his entire life. The reason for this was what followed afterward. The teacher would not let go of his hand and asked the actor to turn his life around and asked him to play football.
