Chris Evans is an actor who is not always one to remain silent, especially if something deeply upsets him. Technology’s limits are as far as one can imagine these days and this seems to include James Dean starring in a movie. The news may come as a shock to many but it is very true. These days technology can help achieve basically anything. This is also one of the root causes of the current Writers’ Strike.

Chris Evans Is Upset By James Dean’s Revival

It was announced a long time back that James Dean would star in a war-themed movie based on the Vietnam era, called,Finding Jack. The news was one no one expected and has since been receiving a lot of backlash. Dean died at the age of 24 due to a car crash in 1955.

“This is awful. Maybe we can get a computer to paint us a new Picasso,”Evans wrote.“Or write a couple new John Lennon tunes. The complete lack of understanding here is shameful.”

After so many decades have passed, Magic City Films revealed that they had the rights to James Dean’s image and can also use him in movies with his photos and previously shot projects. Due to the advancing technology, recreating someone’s voice, facial movements, or even motor movements becomes easier. Although the actor managed to only make three films in his time, they all left a mark so strong in the world that he is still referred to as a legendary actor. So to see him being revived digitally for the sake of a movie was absurd, even forChris Evans.

Chris Evans Stands Against CGI Revivals

James Dean being cast in a movie purely to be added digitally throughout the film did not sit well with many stars. Chris Evans even became vocal about the situation by expressing his displeasure. He pointed towards how perhaps the actor would not be as happy to know how his legacy is being used.

The actor even wrote in a sarcastic tone“I’m sure he’d be thrilled,”adding an eye-roll emoji to show that the late actor won’t be too pleased with his revival using technology.
