Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart famously worked together in the rebootedJumanjifranchise. The former wrestler-turned-actor and the comedian had a lot of time to get to know each other on the set, enough to reveal that Hart was not satisfied with Johnson’s performance in his debut movie,The Scorpion King(2002).
The film was heavily criticized for its lackluster visual effects, though it still made money at the box office with $180 million against a $60 million budget. This was proof that the movie was truly a gamble for both Johnson and the studio.

Kevin Hart Spilled All The Things He Would Do For 24 Hours If He Was The Rock
During aninterviewahead of the premiere of 2019’sJumanji: The Next Level, comedianKevin Hartwas asked what he would do for 24 hours insideDwayne Johnson’s body. The Rock interjected, “15 he’d be pleasuring himself,” and they all burst into laughter. Hart continued to respond:
“I gotta figure some stuff out. I’m going back to wrestling. I would love some rematches. Once I’m done with the wrestling rematches, I’mma go back, and I’mma go redo some of the movies. I wanna do Scorpion King. I’mma redo Scorpion King. I’mma go to Fast and Furious 26. I’m gonna make things better.”
It seems like everyone agrees with Hart when he says he wants to redo Johnson’sThe Scorpion King. Although that job would need more than twenty-four hours, it is understandable that The Rock’s debut movie after he took a break from WWE left a not-so-good impression on its audience.
The Scorpion Kingserved as the spinoff fromBrendan Fraser’sThe Mummyfranchise. This was The Rock’s first time in the limelight as a leading man, and it would kick start his journey into becoming one of Hollywood’s most bankable actors.
Hart also mentioned that he would do aFast and Furiousfilm if he was in The Rock’s body. Indeed, the former WWE champion made his way into the franchise when he starred as Luke Hobbs inFast Five(2011). He reprised his role several times, with the latest one on his surprise return inFast X(2023).
Keeping up with Hart’s response, Johnson’s wrestling career has seemingly ended as theRampageactor focuses more on his acting career. He also has his own production company and his own football league to attend, so there’s no more time for wrestling rematches.

What exactly happened withThe Scorpion Kingthat earned its negative reviews? The film’s VFX supervisor John Berton Jr. revealed toCorridor Crewthe blunders they made when they created the digital version of the Scorpion King:
“The biggest thing about the Scorpion King in this movie is that we didn’t have the reference that we needed. This isn’t really an excuse, but it’s an explanation of the way things work in movies sometimes. We asked for that of course, we needed a day with Dwayne Johnson to photograph his face and eye detail and all the stuff you would do.”
Apparently, The Rock was busy with his WWE career at the time so they did not have a lot of references, and this is why the visual effects ended up looking funny on the screen.
