In an interview, theGeorge of the Jungleactor revealed that he will never be as comfortable with Hollywood as he was during the 1990s. Recalling a time when people lovedBrendan Fraser, the actor fears that someone will just burst open the door and tell him that he’s a fraud.
“I can’t get rid of the feeling that someone’s gonna walk in the room and tell me that I’m a fraud, or that I have impostor syndrome. They’re gonna hand me a dish-towel and I’ll have to go get back to work. But I hope I never lose that. In a way. Because I’m still not done proving myself yet. And to do that, I need bigger and greater challenges.”

As hurtful as these statements sound, the Canadian-American actor states in a positive way that he should be given greater challenges for future roles so that he may prove to the world that he is indeed not a fraud but a true veteran actor lost in time.
