Johnny Depphas worked with several celebrities which meant that love scenes are not new for him anymore. He was once associated with an animated featureRangowith Isla Fisher also voicing it. While the former voiced the titular character in the movie, the latter voiced his love interest, Beans, a good-hearted desert iguana.
However, things were a bit different than other animated features as director, Gore Verbinski asked actors to act in their scenes in real life to enhance the overall animated segment. In an interview with JustJared, she shared,
“Although we were only voicing the characters, we were encouraged to act out scenes.”
Her character was supposed to kiss Depp’s character which is what they had to do in real life but the actress backed out as she was suffering from a bad cold.
“It came to the scene where my character kisses Johnny‘s but I ducked out as I had a really bad cold and didn’t want him to catch it.”
However, she later regretted stating,
“Afterwards I was like, ‘What was I thinking? It’s Johnny Depp’. Maybe I should have just got the kiss and given him the germs.”
While she could only remorse for not giving thePirates of the Caribbeanactor much desperate smooch, it happened for a good cause. Though the actresses’ experience with Depp has been nothing but great, he has once found kissing a star uncomfortable.

Keira Knightley portrayed the role of Elizabeth Swann in the 2006 film,Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chestalongside Depp‘s Jack Sparrow. She was a minor while filming for the project which is why the actor was not much pleased to share a steamy scene with his co-star.
He shared at the time,
“Any kind of scene like that whenever you’re doing that sort of thing, it’s always unbelievably awkward especially having met Keira when she was 17 years old.”
While this experience was nothing but uncomfortable for him, it didn’t stop him from praising the young actress as he shared,
“It’s always awkward so you kind of just make light of it; she was a good sport and we just kid of did what we had to do, that’s the gig.”
It only shows that he is quite a gentleman who is adored by many fans all across the world. Not just fans, even his co-stars can’t help but gush over him which is nothing new since we all know his charming personality.
