During an interview with The Daily Mail, the actor shared that his face suffered a lot of damage due to his boxing career.

After this, he decided to go through plastic surgery to fix the damages. He also shared that his nose was broken twice, and he went through five surgeries for his broken nose and a smashed cheekbone. However, the treatment did not turn out well for him.

A 2015 Page Six report even claimed that theImmortalsactor was also planning more surgeries for his nose and dental implants. However, things did not go as planned for the actor, and the reconstructive surgery made things worse for him.

“Most of it was to mend the mess on my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together,”he shared during the interview. Since his 2014 interview with The Daily Mail,The Wrestlerstar, who looked tanned and toned at the time, has changed a lot in the following years as well.

While his performance alongside Robert Downey Jr received praise, he had some odd demands when he was initially offered the role. The actor reportedly was unaware of his character and suggested having a samurai bun, a Russian accent, and a companion bird on the shoulder of his character, Whiplash.

Other than making physical changes in the character, he was also not satisfied with his salary and backed out of the $250,000 payment offer. Later hisIron Manco-star, Downey Jr, allegedly offered him a cut of his own salary to keep in the movie.
