Zendaya’sEuphoriais an immensely successful series following a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships with Rue as the central figure. While the show has already been renewed for a third season, a concerning report about the show’s set atmosphere was released last year. However, series actor, Colman Domingo clapped back at the allegations hinting young actors‘may not be up for the task.’

Back in February last year, a report about the behind-the-scenes drama on season 2 of the hit HBO show took off which included working for long hours on set but the latter shrugged it all off!

Talking to theIndependent, he talked about his time in theEuphoriaseries, clapping back at the allegations that the series faced behind the scenes drama. Regarding the allegations of the cast being unhappy on the set on working for long hours, when asked whether he felt the same, he replied,

“Not one bit. I’m not gonna invalidate [anyone’s] experience. But working in television is long hours. Sometimes you work up to 14 hours a day. And then you have to go home and prep. You have to really live and work in a very methodical way. A lot of young actors may not be up for the task, or have that same work ethic.”
“I’ve been in this business for 32 years. I know what hard work is. So when I heard those ‘reports.’”He continued,“I thought, ‘Where is this coming from? That’s just a normal work day’. Be a professional.”

He further defended show creator, Sam Levinson stating he“is joyful, and collaborative”as the report mentioned that he had an issue with Barbie Ferreira over the direction of her character, Kat. This led her to allegedly storm offset with Levinson reducing her role in the season. However, she clapped back at the reports stating the whole whisper going around was untrue. Meanwhile, Domingo’s comment has hit the Internet in quite a different way.

While Domingo presented his opinion on the allegations, sharing his side of the story, online commentators expressed their opinion on the same on X.In February last year, theDaily Beastshared a report that pointed out the hectic production that“could stretch anywhere from 15 to 17 hours.” However, theRustinactor’s comments about working for long hours in the industry have ticked off quite many users.

Meanwhile, HBO defended the series from its toxic production claims with the show getting renowned for a third season. Initially, the production process forEuphoria 3was set to begin in the second half of 2023. However, it was halted due to the Writers Guild of America (WGA). HBO has confirmed that the new season will likely premiere by 2025. Meanwhile, the first two seasons are available on the streaming platform.
