Starfieldis one of the biggest game launches of 2023 and is now available as part of early access. This is one of the costliest and best graphics cards available in the market and is causingBethesda‘s RPG to crash, and sometimes the game doesn’t even start on current Arc drivers. The problem is not just that, in a world where Nvidia and AMD have been ready for a long time with driver updates for the game, Intel has not released any game-ready driver update that supports Starfield.

This comes as shocking becauseStarfieldhas been the most anticipated and biggest game release of this year and Intel just abandoned any plan to bring a game-ready driver update. Intel took to X and has acknowledged that they are aware about the Arc Graphics issue and are working on a drive update and it will be ready before game’s general release on September 6th. But it means there will not be any immediate support while the game is in early access.

Intel recorded an annual revenue of $63 billion in 2022, although there was a decrease of 20.21%, it states that there is a large community of gamers, still going with Intel for their gaming choices. These fumble did not go unnoticed by users and they criticized Intel saying thatStarfieldis one of the biggest game releases and they do not have one day drivers ready. The users said they lost lots of trust from the gamers and it makes them rethink their commitment.
Others added that stuff like these makes them rethink before they recommended Intel to novice gamers and if this is the investment that the company puts in its drivers, for one of the major game releases, then the existing GPUs will be the last gamble and the gamers will shift instantly.

Intel has Previously Faced Similar Issues with its Drivers
This is not the first time that Intel has faced this issue where the game-drivers broke and the game doesn’t even launch or it just crashes. It has faced this situation in the past with the game releases when its game-ready drivers broke just when the game was released its launch-day patch updates and remove all the bugs and enhance the game. And considering the patch update Bethesda brought to the game of whopping 15 GB that went live just before game’s release in early access which could have potentially broken when the update went live.
