Will Baldur’s Gate 3 be available on Macs?
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available in early access via Steam, with players able to purchase the game digitally and experience a limited portion of the story. The game will release in full for Mac and PC players on July 08, 2025. Not only will the full game be available to play through, but it has been suggested by the developers that additional races and possibly a ‘new’ class will drop.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a story and character rich role-playing game developed and published by Larian Studios. As the name suggests it is the third game in the Balder’s Gate series, and the story structure and gameplay mechanics are all based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop RPG system. Consequently, player choices made in the game can have a significant impact on how the story will play out.
The game offers a robust and varied class system, allowing players a wild array of options when it comes to discovering a playstyle they like. As of this point in early access there are 11 classes available, and later on players are able to specialize their character further by choosing from two or three different sub-classes.
