After his split with Jennifer Lopez in 2004, Ben Affleck found love in his ex-girlfriend’s namesake, Jennifer Garner. They tied the knot in 2005 and welcomed three children over the years. Unfortunately, their relationship came to a stop in 2015 when they announced to the world that they will be getting a divorce.
Despite the reconciliation rumors owing to a family vacation and marriage counseling sessions, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner officially filed for divorce in April 2017, which got finalized in October 2018. And while the ex-couple had their fair share of ups and downs, Jennifer Garner was once ready to do it all over again without missing a beat.

One thing we can all agree on is the fact thatJennifer GarnerandBen Affleck’s divorce was far from being messy. Both the actors put their three children before themselves and on a quest of doing what’s best for them, remained on best terms with each other. There was absolutely no drama.
In fact, Garner and Affleck even decided to give their marriage another chance for the sake of their children. However, when Affleck turned to alcohol to wash away his sorrows, the two realized that this is not what they want to show their children. After announcing their divorce, Garner especially had to go through a tough time thanks to the invasive nature of the media.
Regardless, if Garner had a time machine and she could go back to 2005, she would make all the same decisions all over again. She absolutely does not regret her marriage with Affleck. Talking to Vanity Fair theElektraactress stated,
“I didn’t marry the big fat movie star; I married him. And I would go back and remake that decision, I ran down the beach to him and I would again. you may’t have these three babies and so much of what we had. He’s the love of my life. What am I going to do about that? He’s the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous.”
The love Garner has for Affleck despite going through a divorce is truly heartwarming. After all, it’s not often you see a separated couple on such good terms!

Their Kids Are Their Biggest Priority
Affleck and Garner have got the whole co-parenting thing under control. And even though they couldn’t continue their romantic relationship, they are more than happy to raise their three children, Violet Anne, Seraphina Rose, and Samuel, together.
Continuing her praise for her ex-husband, Garner stated that while she no longer will able to dance with Affleck on their kids’ weddings, she finds solace in the look on her children’s faces whenever their dad walks in the room.
“It’s not Ben’s job to make me happy. The main thing is these kids – and we’re completely in line with what we hope for them. Sure, I lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter’s wedding. But you should see their faces when he walks through the door. And if you see your kids love someone so purely and wholly, then you’re going to be friends with that person.”
Whatever Garner and Affleck might have gone through during their divorce, they didn’t let any of it affect their young children who have a great relationship with both of them. Kudos to them for looking out for the kids!
