Tom Cruise has been one of the biggest advocates of the Church of Scientology, siding by it no matter how many controversies would stir, with Jerry Seinfeld also having ties with the infamous Church. While his fame reached its peak with the series that became a cult classic instantly,Seinfeldran for nine seasons. The series managed to bring about an entirely new era of comedy and sitcoms and so started the journey of Jerry Seinfeld.

As a comedian, Seinfeld has experienced many different things. From conversing with the biggest actors to having a hand in the Church of Scientology. Throughout his life and his evergrowing career, he has gotten multiple achievements and his trust in the Church has only grown because of it.

Jerry Seinfeld Trusts In The Church Of Scientology

Jerry Seinfeldtalked about how when he was in his early days as a comedian, he had found himself reading books that belonged to the Chruch of Scientology. He never really got into it fully similar to some other celebrities likeTom Cruiseand Katie Holmes.

“They have a lot of very good technology,”Seinfeld elaborated.“That’s what really appealed to me about it. It’s not faith-based. It’s all technology. And I’m obsessed with technology.”

He focused on the perception that the world has of the Church and how it is far from the truth according to him. Seinfeld led onto the fact that much of the Church of Scientology is based on facts and technology rather than faith. He confirmed that he learned communication from the courses they offered and had taken part in many other courses as well. He had admitted that in his journey as a stand-up comedian, his study in the Church had helped him immensely.

Jerry Seinfeld Believes His Show To Be Much More Than What People See

The fourth season ofSeinfeldsaw a plotline that developed around the idea of Jerry and George bringing out a script to NBC. This was a mock remark to the series itself as the pitched idea happened to be about a sitcom revolving around Jerry’s life. The joke of the same had been about how the series was not really based on anything and was about nothing at all.

“Nobody wants to learn from a comedy. Learn somewhere else.”

This joke went on to become the label of the series as well and Jerry Seinfeld was not happy about it. His series had been more about reaching a lighter audience. Furthermore, he added that when it comes to comedy shows, having a moral or a learning objective is not something that the audience is looking for in the first place. However, that does not allow the audience to label it as a series about nothing.
