According to the screenwriter of the 2009 movieThe Time Traveler’s Wife,he had already cast the couple as lead actors in the movie at the time of writing. In an interview with Access, Bruce Joel Rubin talked about what the movie could have been if Brad Pitt andJennifer Anistonwould have been cast as Henry and Clare.
“I saw them as Henry and Clare. I just did. They just seemed like a perfect version of Henry and Clare. I just found them equally attractive, equally competing in terms of the Hollywood sort of arena at that moment in time. They were as good a couple as you could find and I thought that I would’ve loved to have seen them together in a movie.”
Before their divorce, the couple never shared an on-screen duo role together. Jennifer Aniston stated that she did not think it was a good idea that they star in a movie together since she was afraid of getting more attention than what was necessary.

In an interview, theWe’re The Millersactress revealed that she made a conscious decision not to share the screen withBrad Pittwhen they were married. Stating the reason to be excessive spotlight and attention, Aniston stated that someday in the future, she may share the screen with Brad Pitt.
“That would be just asking for trouble. You wouldn’t even see the movie, because it would be too much of a show in another way. Maybe years down the line, if the right thing came along, of course, we’d love to. Ocean’s Twenty, maybe,”
As for the 2009 movie, Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams starred in the lead roles in the movie. Brad Pitt served as the executive producer as the movie went on to receive a rating of 7.1/10 on IMDB and a meager 38% on Rotten Tomatoes.
