Now living in Loen’s Victorian‑era streets, Klein finds himself caught up in ritual, Divinations, and Beyonder all at once. A chaotic “luck” ceremony is the spark that sets the legend of “The Fool” into motion.
Episode 2, “Beyonder,” also debuted that day and continued the story. Klein accepts Dunn Smith’s invitation to join the Church of the Evernight Goddess’s covert Nighthawks. He selects the Sequence 9 Seer Pathway after a mesmerizing visit to Old Neil’s alchemy room. Drinking it unlocks Spirit Vision, officially making him a Seer, just as he receives his first assignment: tracking down a kidnapped child using his new powers.
Partnered with Leonard Mitchell, Klein quickly gets a taste of the dangers that lie ahead when two thugs merge into a hideous demon. Leonard’s Midnight Poet abilities, combined with Klein’s quick trigger, come together to save the day, but the mystery only deepens, particularly surrounding the Antigonus Family’s notebook and the true fate of the “original” Klein, which keeps the mystery thick.

From the official preview, Episode 3 is pitting Klein against the Suit‑clad Clown, the same one who appeared briefly in the premiere. Web novel readers will know this as a pivotal plot twist, which occurs roughly around Chapter 80. If Episode 2 ended at roughly Chapter 44, then the anime is speeding up major arcs, omitting a few slower-paced plot arcs in the process.
