Danny Rand may be the Immortal Iron Fist, but his adventures have come to an end.Netflixrecently announced it was cancelling the series, which stars Finn Jones (Game of Thrones) as the heroic martial artist.
Netflix said the following in a joint statement withDisney:
“Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crewandshowrunners … We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for thepartnershipwe’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, theimmortalIron Fist will live on.”
This news comes as a surprise, given the generally positive reaction to season two.

After being presumed dead for 15 years, Danny Rand returns to New York City to reclaim his family company from Harold Meachum and his children Ward Meachum and Joy Meachum. When a threat emerges, Rand must choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist. After the events of The Defenders, Rand steps up to protect New York in Matt Murdock’s absence, until a new enemy threatens Rand’s identity and those he cares about.
The first two seasons ofMarvel’s Iron Fistare now streaming on Netflix.
