As previously hinted by Insomniac’s community and marketing director, James Stevenson,Marvel’s Spider-Man 2comes with an adjustable “swing assist slider.” This feature allows players to take control of the level of assistance they will get when they are web-slinging on the streets of NYC. The feature is not just an accessibility feature, as the default setting is the highest level.

The feature also boosts the game’s difficulty for players who wish to have a more challenging experience. This, besides the fall damage in the new game, shows that the studio is trying to challenge players to test both Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the second installment.

A More Realistic Yet Challenging Experience

For people interested inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2’saccessibility features, it has been confirmed before that the game will enable players to reduce combat speed in order to increase accessibility. Moreover, there will be other ways players can increase the difficulty levels, as the game offers customized settings that help them adjust combat and stealth individually.

Stevenson said in a now-deleted tweet (viaGamesRadar):

“There are 10 levels of Swing Assistance on that slider. The game starts at the default (from the previous games!) Level 10. So it’s a feature we let players turn down to get less assistance if they want.”

Previously, Insomniac also offered several interesting details about the game. Players have learned that the game’s side missions are also worth exploring, as they come along with some exciting surprises. Moreover, the developer also confirmed that players won’t get any in-game rewards for importing completed save files from eitherMarvel’s Spider-ManorMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Find Grandpa Mission

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2Side Mission Makes Players Cry

TheFind Grandpa missionin the latest installment of Marvel’s Spider-Man is said to be one of the most emotional missions in the game. Players will see this mission appear as a request on the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man app, asking Spider-Man to aid Tasha in finding her grandfather, Earl, who’s missing.

While the side mission kicks off as detective work, there is no action in it like other missions. Instead, the mission’s appeal comes from its purity and compassion. When Spider-Man manages to find him, Earl requests him to take a seat beside him and think about the love of his life, who died a while ago.
