While promoting theA Quiet Placesequel onThe Ellen DeGeneres Show,theactor took a moment to share a hilarious story about his daughter Hazel Krasinski, then 6. Well, his story demonstrates that the life of a celebrity involves more than just posh events and movie premieres. Like the rest of us, they too experience relatable parenting moments.
A Quiet Placedirector and star of the popular television programThe Officestarted dating English actress Emily Blunt in November 2008 and then got engaged in August 2009.
The adorable couple exchanged vows in a secret ceremony on August 12, 2025, at George Clooney’s former residence in Como, Italy. They have two beautiful daughters– Hazel and Violet Krasinski.

John Krasinski Was In Awe Of His Daughter’s Comedic Timing
Hazel Krasinski was born to John Krasinski andEmily Blunton August 21, 2025. Later that day, her proud father posted a message on Twitter announcing the arrival of his first child, writing:
Wanted to let the news out directly. Emily and I are so incredibly happy to welcome our daughter Hazel into the world today! Happy bday!

The Marvel actor once shared withEllen DeGeneresa rare parenting anecdote on a segment of her daytime talk show. He described an occasion when he was inspired to take on a project that would showcase his family (photo frame) — more prominently in their home.
Krasinski related a conversation he had with his daughter to DeGeneres when she inquired about her, who had just turned six. The 43-year-old actor claimed that when his daughters Hazel and Violet Krasinski, entered the room, he had just finished setting up the new frames on the floor for a photo wall.
When the girls saw their father working diligently, they said:
“Wow, you’re doing such a great job, Daddy.”
Hazel Krasinski, now nine, continued without missing a beat by adding:
“So good. Don’t you think you should put pictures of us up?”
Krasinski noticed right away that the unwrapped frames he had arranged contained pictures of families that did not resemble their own:
“It was all the fake families in the frames! It was amazing. I think she was genuinely concerned that I was losing my mind.”
The proud father found his daughter’s observation hilarious and burst out laughing.

Emily Blunt Also Shared Her Daughters’ Amusing Stories
Not only didJohn Krasinskihave amusing stories about his girls. His wife, Emily Blunt admitted to Jimmy Fallon in 2016 that both of her daughters“temporarily” picked up her British accent while she was filmingMary Poppins Returns. The actress, 40, recalled:
“Hazel had my accent for a really long time and would say things like ‘water’ [in an English accent], which I was really proud of. And then the other day she goes, [feigning American accent] ‘Can I have some water?’ And I went, ‘It’s water.’ And she was like, ‘No, it’s [American accent] water.’”
Additionally, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in 2018, the couple discussed their greatest hopes (and fears) for their daughters. Blunt said:
“My children’s happiness, their safety, and their well-being is the most paramount thing in my life. And if [I am] unable to give them any of those things, then who am I? What’s my identity? My greatest hope is that they are truly happy and that they’re interested in life, in anything. Interested and interesting, and truly happy.”
Krasinski further added:
“Even when [we] drop our 4-year-old daughter off at school, you don’t know what she’s gonna do that day. You don’t know if other kids are gonna be nice to her or if she [will get] in trouble for something. You just want to protect them at all costs.”
On the work front, theNobody Walksactor’s upcoming film will be the fantasy comedyIF,which Krasinski wrote, directed, and co-produced. Ryan Reynolds, Krasinski, Fiona Shaw, and Cailey Fleming are part of the ensemble cast.
