Not only that, but a whopping 15 characters have all been tweaked to some degree in order to keep things fresh. Topping it all off are a handful of new skins and further adjustments to crucial gameplay systems.

Rick Sanchez joins the fight
Headlining the MultiVersus 1.03 update is none other than Rick Sanchez. After a few weeks of his grandson Morty enjoying the fun, Rick is now dropping into battle alongside him.
Entering as a Mage character, Rick brings plenty of his popular high-tech gadgets into combat. From his blaster to a Meeseeks box, there’s plenty to look forward to if you’re a Rick and Morty fan. There’s currently no telling just how he’ll fit into the meta, but we’re sure to see plenty of new Rick-mains testing things out over the next few weeks.

Huge MultiVersus balance pass
Opting not to rest on their laurels, the MultiVersus developers have once again pushed out an enormous balance pass in the 1.03 patch. This time around, 15 characters have been adjusted to some degree. Be it nerfs, buffs, or even just quality of life bug fixes, many fan favorites are sure to feel different moving forward.

When it comes to buffs, Garnet, Gizmo, and Steven Universe arguably benefited the most. A number of attacks and specials all allow for improved recovery time and key moves should pave the way for smoother combos using these fighters.
In terms of nerfs, Superman, Velma, Jake, and Finn among others were all tweaked. For the most part key attacks no longer break armor on single hits, hitboxes have been adjusted, and recovery times have been increased on certain moves. The full list of changes can be found below.
