But that’s not the surprising element that we’re about to discuss. Apparently, the ridiculous aspect of that sequence, neither includes Keanu Reeves’ John Wick nor Bill Skarsgård’s Marquis Vincent Bisset de Gramont. The bizarre part involves Chad Stahelski’s behind-the-scenes story about dog pee, bullet holes, and Marko Zaror’s Chidi.

Chad Stahelski Shares a Great Story Involving Dog Pee

Keanu Reeves‘John Wickmovies have often featured bizarre sequences that made fans lose their minds. After repeatedly including such scenes, fans and audiences now wait for those moments to pop up on the screen. But among all the sequels ofJohn Wick, the recently releasedJohn Wick: Chapter 4,had the most bizarre sequence.

Speaking with the director, Chad Stahelski,CinemaBlendfound out a great story about the film, involving dog pee, bullet holes, and Marko Zaror’s Chidi. According to the director, the scene where a Belgian Malinois peed on Chidi’s dead body, had the most bizarre behind-the-scenes story.

“At the end of the day when you get a cool gag with it, when I can get a female dog to lift her leg and pee on my bad guy’s head, they’re like, that’s a good day. To Marko’s credit, Marko’s like, ‘Yeah, that sounds cool, pee in my bullet hole.’ I’m like, ‘All right, buddy, thanks man.’ It’s good to know my cast is on board.”

Getting his cast and crew on board with the scene, Chad Stahelski had a great time, but the story certainly stunned the interviewer. Although the director got Marko Zaror to agree, the scene eventually had its own challenges, that Stahelski began discussing.

The Challenging Scene From Keanu Reeves’John Wick 4

Stunned to hear the story about how Chad Stahelski wanted a dog to pee on the dead body of Marko Zaror’s Chidi, the interviewer was further shocked to know that the actor agreed to do so. Sportingly accepting the offer, Zaror even wanted the dog to pee in his bullet hole, which stunned the interviewer even more.

There was a pause afterChad Stahelskishared the story. The interviewer was curious to know more about the “pee in my bullet hole” part. And without missing a beat, the director realized that the interviewer was trying to figure out how to proceed further, after getting such bizarre information. Thus, Stahelski took the initiative and joked about it.

“Don’t know how to say that? I had that moment, too. I don’t know what to say to that. He’s got a very thick Chilean accent, so it sounds even better when he says it.”

But while this particular scene stunned the audience, it was one of the most challenging parts of filming. Chad Stahelski mentioned that for whatever reason, animals and weather have always been the trickiest things to work with. Describing them as the “bane of our existence”, the director mentioned how he knew the Paris sequence would be a major challenge to overcome.

Ultimately, Chad Stahelski not only succeeded in working with the dog and getting his “cool gag” but also turned Keanu Reeves’ movie into a hit.
