Actor Anthony Mackie’s relationship with Sheletta Chapital was no less than a Hollywood love story but it had a bad ending. The two first met when they were in second grade and Mackie started dating her when he was 28. The two got married in 2014, however, the marriage didn’t last for a long time.
Mackie once revealed that Chapital used to bully him when he was in second grade. Roughly 20 years, later he ran into Chapital once again and got his revenge. The two exchanged in December 2014 and kept their relationship private. Very little was known about their lives and their four kids. Their divorce was finalized in 2018.

Anthony Mackie met his ex-wife in second grade
ActorAnthony Mackiewas married to Sheletta Chapital between 2014-2018, however, their first meeting was a very long time ago. In an interview onThe Queen Latifah Showin 2014, the actor recalled,
“I was coming from a very bad school and going to a very good one. And when I walked into second grade, it was Dr. Seuss day. We had the little hot plate out, and the teacher was making green eggs and ham. So, you know, I walk in and I look, and I see this girl with these little ratty pigtails on and skinny legs, and I was like, ‘wow!'”
Mackie has stated in the past that he suffers from a learning disability known as Dyslexia. The condition has often caused trouble for him in school but he managed to overcome it.

Anthony Mackie’s ex-wife used to bully him but he got his revenge
Further in the interview, Mackie revealed that Chapital was a bully and used to take the lunch money that his parents gave him,
“She used to beat me up for my lunch money in second grade. You know, when you were a kid, you had 25 cents for lunch, and I just ended up going to school, and she’d punch me, and I’d give her my 25 cents. By fifth grade, it was a dollar.”
Mackie also once revealed that he finally got his revenge when he met her again, roughly 20 years later,
“I was 28, I was at a concert and somebody said my name and I turned around and I was like, ‘I haven’t seen you in 20 years.’ I was like, ‘Put your number in my phone’ and she put her number in my phone and it’s been dope ever since but I made her pay for the first dinner.”
Mackie’s entire marriage with Sheletta Chapital was extremely private, in fact, the announcement of their marriage was made 6 months after the wedding. The actor shares four children with his ex-wife. They have been taking care of them through joint custody since their divorce in 2018.
