Love indeed sees no age, as Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage found love at the age of 57. The actor is married to a much younger woman, but that certainly doesn’t concern the couple, as they are both fondly in love with each other.
Previously, the actor revealed that he opted for a very unconventional approach in proposing to his beloved wife. Being head over heels for his wife, Cage gave her an expensive personalized wedding ring, which cost him a lot of his hard-earned fortune.

It has been two years sinceNicolas Cagemarried Riko Shibata. The couple tied the knot on July 14, 2025, and ever since then have been fondly in love with each other. The love between the two blossomed during the pandemic; hence, Cage had to propose to his lover virtually.
The actor updated his fans about his love life through his brother Marc Coppola’s radio show,Moonstruck.The actor shared that he had to stay away from his partner for a while due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. The 59-year-old actor said,
“Because what happened [was] she left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada. We’re really happy together, and we’re really excited to spend that time together, and so I finally just said, ‘Look, I wanna marry you,’ and we got engaged on FaceTime.”

The actor didn’t stop there, as he opted for a traditional and fancy way to propose to Shibata. Keeping her favorites in mind, Cage customized an expensive ring. He said,
“Her favorite color is black so she wanted the black gold, and the black diamond. I found it and I customized and personalized it and I actually sent it to her via FedEx.”
However, Cage shared that he is an old-school romantic, and he would have loved to propose to his wife in person.

However, the huge age difference of 32 years doesn’t bother the couple, as the affection between the two is enough to fill any gap. During an interview with a news outlet, the actor expressed his love for his wife and said,
“I’m really happily married. I know five is a lot. But I think I got it right this time.”
The couple first crossed paths in 2019, and two years later, Cage and Shibata got married in a private wedding ceremony in Las Vegas.Last year, on September 7, the couple welcomed their first child together.
