Zack Snyder just can’t seem to stop enjoying the limelight. In recent months, Zack Snyder has become one of the most discussed directors on the Internet, and for all the right reasons. Back in 2017, Zack Snyder had to step down from the post-production ofJustice Leaguedue to his daughter’s death by suicide. After going through a rough patch, Zack Snyder is back, doing what he does best.

Man of Steel(2013) was directed by Zack Snyder which was the stepping stone towards the DC Extended Universe. Snyder also directedBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice(2016) which was also set in the DCEU. Despite being a phenomenal cinematographer, his movies have a polarized fan base dealing with extreme emotions. WhileMan of SteelandBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicereceived praise for their intense fight sequences, the movies have received much flak for their graphic nature and usage of muted colors.
The sudden death of his daughter made Snyder step down fromJustice Leagueto spend time with his family. As a result, director Joss Whedon was hired to finish the movie. Drastically different from Snyder’s picturesque cinematography and mature themes, Joss Whedon’sJustice Leaguewas a mismatch of artistic flair, making the movie a box-office disaster.

From an incoherent plotline to forced humor,Justice Leaguewas a critical failure that almost scrapped off the DC Extended Universe. Though Zack Snyder’s previous two movies didn’t receive critical acclaim, fans wanted to see his creative vision to be depicted on the big screen. After months of online petitions and the famous #ReleaseTheSnyderCut trend, HBO Max picked up the unfinished and apparently vastly differentSnyder Cut:Justice Leagueto be finished by Zack Snyder.
Though there still are many naysayers who firmly believe that the upcomingSnyder Cutwon’t be a pleasant experience, the teasers dropped by Snyder have a different story to tell. To set the ball rolling, Snyder dropped the first teaser ofSnyder Cutwith aterrified Diana taking a long glance at a mural of Darkseid. Then last month, Snyder dropped another major reveal ofSuperman donning the famous Black Suitin a 20 seconds clip which was released on Justice Con.

Ahead of the upcoming DC FanDome event, Zack Snyder has decided to treat the fans with yet another teaser which will be completely unveiled at the event. Quite active on social media, Snyder has teased a major teaser from his upcomingSnyder Cut.Working on post-production, Snyder has dropped a major reveal on the microblogging platform, Twitter.

Though nothing has been confirmed yet, the tweet might be able to shed some light upon the teaser/trailer that will be released during the DC FanDome event. Upon close inspection of the photo, the place seems quite similar to the battleground between Superman and the rest of the Justice League in the movie.

As Zack Snyder has claimed to use only his works instead of relying on Whedon’s finished work, it would be interesting to see whatmajor changes willSnyder Cuthave, including the fight scene where a recently resurrected Superman fights the entire Justice League, and bring them down to their knees.
According to Zack Snyder, the tumultuous and rushed production ofJustice League(2017) caused some major changes to what he had originally envisaged. Apparently, Vic Stone aka Cyborg has a big role to play in the upcomingSnyder Cutwho had a lackluster appearance in Joss Whedon’sJustice League. Snyder has also confirmed that Ben Affleck’s Batman will be similar to the one we were introduced inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, unlike the wise-cracking and toned down Dark Knight of Joss Whedon.
Snyder Cutis supposed to be a redemption arc for Superman, according to Zack Snyder. After his apparent death inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Clark Kent aka Superman is resurrected inJustice League: Snyder Cut. Originally, Snyder had planned to release five movies that would have acted like a complete story arc for the Man of Steel; birth, death, resurrection, redemption, and reincarnation.
Zack Snyder has also released a new image of Steppenwolf, who was the major antagonist inJustice League. Unsurprisingly, Snyder’s version of Steppenwolf looks much more menacing than the one we witnessed on the big screen. TheSnyder Cutwill also feature Darkseid for the first time in a live-action movie.
If Snyder’s teasers are to be believed, his version ofJustice Leaguehas already set itself different from the horrible travesty released back in 2017. From confirming the first appearance of Darkseid to Superman donning therecovery suitfrom the comics,Snyder Cutalready looks promising enough to satisfy the disgruntled fans who have been patiently waiting for Zack Snyder’s vision to come to fruition.
The DC FanDome event is slated to be held on 22nd August 2020.Justice League: Snyder Cutis set to release next year on HBO Max.
