The legendary Stan Lee is one of the most beloved personalities due to his immense contributions to pop culture by being the mastermind behind many Marvel comics. The noted comic-book writer and artist was instrumental in ushering in a new era of style and content to the comics. He created characters such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, and the X-Men.

Lee was also revered by the team at the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he was an executive producer on all the films. He also had cameo appearances in each of the films. A behind-the-scenes video of Lee giving a pep talk to Chris Evans on the sets ofFantastic Fourhas made the rounds on social media.

Stan Lee’s Legendary Career As A Comic Book Writer
Legendary comic-book writer and publisherStan Leebegan his career in the publishing industry as an assistant at Timely Comics, the company which would later transform into Marvel Comics. Lee was an assistant to the editor at the family-run publishing company and made his debut as a writer on a Captain America comic.
After serving in the army and then working on several different genres, Stan Lee was tasked with coming up with superheroes as their competitor DC Comics had just revived the genre. Lee created the Fantastic Four and other popular characters such as Iron Man, Thor, and Hulk with illustrator Jack Kirby.

Lee had many collaborators in the art department such as Steve Ditko, with whom he created Doctor Strange and Spider-Man, and Bill Everett, with whom he created Daredevil. Lee’s creation Spider-Man became Marvel’s most successful superhero. He managed much of the material published by the company throughout the 60s. His pen name was Excelsior.

He also spearheaded Marvel’s foray into other media such as film and TV. He was an executive producer on many of the Marvel media and had cameo appearances in most of the films, be it produced by Sony, Fox, or eventually Marvel Entertainment. The prolific comic-book writer passed away in 2018.

Stan Lee’s Pep Talk To Chris Evans
Stan Lee started working on film adaptations of the Marvel comics in 1981 and had even written a script for a plannedSilver Surfersfilm. The film was never made but plans for aFantastic Fourfilm began development at Fox Studios. The film was directed by Tim Story and starred Ioan Gruffud, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, and a pre-Captain America Chris Evans.
Evans starred as Johnny Storm a.k.a the Human Torch in the film. He reprised his role in the sequelFantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Chris Evans would later join the MCU as an original member of the Avengers, playing the role of Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America. He reprised the role multiple times before departing inAvengers: Endgame.
Stan Lee met with Evans before he was a part of the MCU as the noted personality had his special cameo inFantastic Four 2.Recently, a behind-the-scenesvideoof the sets went viral, showing Lee and Evans talking as they wait for their shot. Lee is heard complimenting Chris Evans as he receives it. Lee is heard saying,
“You were so good in the first movie. The personality that you had and the exuberance, really, the movie came to life…After this, you will probably go legit someday and do some good stuff.”
Stan Lee’s prediction of Chris Evans going ‘legit’ did come through as he gained global stardom due to his role as Captain America in the MCU.
