The American Dream is something people from all parts of the world want to witness, as the USA provides everyone with an opportunity to make their dreams come true. Believing this, Austrian bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger came to the country to do the same, and after more than 50 years in the States, the star has become a living legend in the Hollywood industry as one of the most prolific action stars of generations.

Along the way in his journey to superstardom, he made a lot of friends and allies that have supported him immensely. But on the flip side, there are a couple of instances where he has developed ill-wishers as well. One of the most heated rivalries in the Hollywood industry also emerged between him and Sylvester Stallone, which became so heated that Schwarzenegger was accused of a heinous crime by the American actor.

Sylvester Stallone Accused Arnold Schwarzenegger Of Being A Nazi!

Considered to be very good friends in the present day, it’s hard to imagine there being any kind of conflict betweenArnold SchwarzeneggerandSylvester Stallone. But if anyone looks at the past that these action stars have shared, they will be in for a shock. Considered to be one of the biggest and most prominent rivalries of the Hollywood industry, both stars have accepted in the past that they were at odds with each other most of the time.

It all started back in the 1977 Golden Globe Awards ceremony, where theRambostar was seen throwing a flower vase at Schwarzenegger because the star allegedly laughed at him when he lost an award. Since then, they were regularly going back and forth everywhere they could in order to bring each other down. While most of it was seen as petty and harmless, Stallone crossed a line when he allegedly accused theTwinsstar of having ties to the Nazi ideology.

In February 1998,The News of the Worldpublished a story where the journalist reported that Schwarzenegger supported Anti-Semitic views and was an admirer of Hitler. When asked for the source of the information by many, the journalist revealed that it came from theRockystar himself. Though it was true that Schwarzenegger’s father Gustav had coinciding views with Naziasm, the alleged rounding up of Jews into concentration camps by him that was reported in the article was a complete hoax, disregarded by Schwarzenegger himself.

On numerous occasions, theTerminatorstar has revealed the truth about his father’s beliefs and has cleared repeatedly that he is severely against the Nazi ideology from his younger days and wholeheartedly despises the methods Adolf Hitler used during his reign of terror.

How Did Their Rivalry Come To An End?

As with all the things bound to the mortal realm, their heated rivalry started to die down during the 1990s, when both stars were on a steady decline from their professional peak. And with time, they started to realize that this rivalry was causing nothing but trouble for both of them. Thus, they decided to reconcile their differences and work together. Both of them were seen alongside each other in films likeThe Expendablesfranchise as well asEscape Planas they slowly became good friends.
