Morgan Freeman has died more times than any of his on-screen characters must have if social media scammers have anything to say about it.
The internet can be a wild place, a stark field of misinformation where the seeds of controversy and gossip are sown in bulk. And that especially stands true when it comes to documenting the lives of celebrities because it certainly isn’t beyond people to capitalize on the scandals of the famous.
So, disseminating false news of a renowned actor’s death doesn’t fall far from that tree. But after suffering more than a couple of fatal injuries [as per fake news], Freeman had enough of these death hoaxes.

Morgan Freemanhas been declared dead on more than one occasion. That he is perfectly fit and fine, didn’t deter the outlets in question from misleading the public.
Once, a Facebook page circa 2012 even went so far as to claim thatThe Shawshank Redemptionstar passed away after suffering an artery rupture.“Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page,”the caption of the post concluded [viaReuters]. And seeing how the post gained about a million likes, the page probably fulfilled its ultimate aim.
A couple or so years ago, yet another such hoax surfaced on the social media platform, claiming that Freeman, 86, died quietly in the comfort of his home. But this time, the Academy Award-winning actor struck back.
“Like Mark Twain, I keep reading that I have died. I hope those stories are not true… But if they are, I’m happy to report that my afterlife seems identical to my life when I was alive. I did go to Las Vegas to begin work on the film Last Vegas. That is anything but a death sentence.”
Around 15 years ago, a car accident rendered Freeman with a chronic disorder called Fibromyalgia that leads to bouts of muscle pain and tenderness in the body. Besides the episodical effects of the same on his health though, theBruce Almightystar is doing just peachy!

Or so it seems.
Just a day prior, shocking rumors of Renner’s demise made their way to the internet as the abysmal label #RIPJeremyRenner swirled across social media sites, leaving fans all over the world in a flurry of panic and perplexity.
Compared to Freeman, who responded with a sharp yet hilarious remark of his own to the ludicrous claims of his death, theHawkeyestar seems to be more withdrawn than vocal, given how he hasn’t yet addressed any of the idle chatter surrounding his supposed end.

As for his health, Renner, 52, is currently on the path to full recovery after his devastating, life-threatening snowplow accident that left him with over 30 broken bones.
